#AskLorenaGaxiola: Who are your design icons?

I look up to so many great designers and artists, it's hard to choose, but here are some of my all-time favorite icons in the design world:

Zaha Hadid for being a badass woman visionary. Her organic structures are not only sculptural but a window to a futuristic landscape.

Renzo Piano for his transcendent, elegant designs that enhance skylines in any city in the world. He takes the mundane and brings it back to life by blending classic lines and progressive design without overpowering its surroundings.

Marcel Wanders for bringing fantasy and whimsy to everything he touches. His artful yet functional vision is truly an inspiration.

Shigeru Ban is my idol in the hospitality and care industry. He is the master of thoughtful design, innovative to the bone.

Philippe Starck for his unprecedented approach. He applies design to anything and everything, no corner and detail unthought.

And Patrick Blanc for literally breathing life into any structure, any design, both inside and out.
